Those born in 1968 and 1969 rounded out the top three. Korea’s average age stood at 41-and-a-half years in 2017, which is half-a-year higher than 2016. Seven regions in Korea fell below the national average, with Sejong registering the youngest population at an average age of 36.7 years. In contrast, South Jeolla Province was Korea’s oldest place at an average of 45-years-of-age.
