In conjunction with this, President Trump's approval rating has also risen. Nearly two thirds of registered voters showed a high level of interest in the election. This is the highest level ever recorded for a midterm election since records began being kept in 2006. In addition, attention is turning to whether the Republican Party could achieve a last-minute come-from-behind victory. The mid-term election sees 36 of the 50 governors and 35 of 100 House of Representatives up for election.
