While the water at most Korean water parks has been found to meet current local standards, it lags behind stricter international standards. At the heart of the matter is so-called combined residual chlorine or CRC. As Korea’s water standards omit CRC, Korea’s consumer protection agency is calling for the more stringent international standards to be applied. Also in question is the matter of who should carry out water testing, with current regulations allowing autonomous testing.
