The Korean government commenced its driving ban on faulty BMWs that are at risk of catching fire. On Tuesday, the Korean government issued an order to halt the operation of 27,246 BMW cars that had yet to receive safety inspections as of Monday. About 15,000 vehicles remained unchecked as of Wednesday morning. However, as the number of vehicles undergoing safety diagnosis continues to increase, it is expected that the number of vehicles subject to suspension will be reduced to around 5,000 units within one to two days.
