The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies plunged to its lowest level this year to $186 billion. It's a far cry from its peak of $831 billion in January earlier this year. The leader in the market, Bitcoin, has stemmed its losses and managed to maintain a price above $6,000 this year. But other cryptocurrencies including second-place Ethereum are losing value at a tremendous pace. Two months ago, Ethereum was worth nearly triple of its current value.
