The Korean alphabet, or Hangeul, has become this year's it item. Proof positive of this is the Hangeul sign on display at the end of this year's Paris Fashion Week. And if that were not enough, more than 500 people turned out to see Kai from the K-pop band Exo. On the global human commerce site Etsy, a search for "Hangeul" turns up over 500 results. Other examples of Hangeul's rise to prominence include a special edition Seoul sneaker from Nike featuring the worlds "Seoul" and "Harmony and Progress" in Hangeul inside the left and right tongues, respectively.
