What makes a good death? This once rhetorical question, may finally have an answer. A new study ahead of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on October 13 has shown that Koreans cited not burdening their families as the first priority of a good death. People from the US and UK however placed importance on freedom from pain and dying in familiar surroundings. And with Korea's aging population, the question of what makes a good death is one that individuals and families will have to grapple with.
