The Indonesian capital of Jakarta is poised to dethrone Tokyo as the world's most populated city by the year 2030. According to a new report, Jakarta's population could mushroom to as high as 35.6 million in the next dozen years. This growth is expected to exacerbate the already bad traffic gridlock in the city. Jakarta was the third worst city in the world for traffic in 2018, with residents spending an additional 184 hours per year stuck on the roads.
