In India, popular tourist hotspots are being overrun by threats from the animal kingdom. Police armed with slingshots are taking aim at troops of monkeys that harass visitors at India’s Taj Mahal. The monkeys forage for food and are becoming more aggressive as they lose more of their natural habitats.

In November, a monkey even snatched a 12-day-old boy from his mother outside Agra and killed him. In the western state of Gujarat, officials have started relocating at least 300 crocodiles from a reservoir next to the world's tallest statue.

The crocs were removed out of safety concerns to visitors of the 182-meter statue of an independence hero. But critics believe the relocation violates India's wildlife protection laws.
