UK Prime Minister Theresa May is being urged to make sure there will be no return to a visible border between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic

For the sake of maintaining peace, UK Prime Minister Theresa May is being urged to make sure there will be no return to a visible border between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic after the UK leaves the EU. 

The UK is due to leave the EU on March 29th, but as it currently stands, there may be a no-deal 'Brexit' if an extension cannot be granted or if a compromise can't be reached. Earlier this month, British lawmakers rejected her Brexit deal. 

Many lawmakers opposed the so-called backstop arrangement aimed at preventing a hard border between Ireland and the UK province of Northern Ireland because it would see Britain keep some EU rules. May is seeking concessions from the EU to put in a time limit to the backstop.
